| · Volunteers
participate in the training, education (e.g., literacy
programs) and activities that promote the welfare and
status of women.
· Volunteers
are involved also in working with women who suffer from
the ramifications of extreme poverty, preparing promoters
for health and food alternatives, and (finally) accompanying
victims of domestic violence.
· Volunteers
engage in activities with a local artisan group called
“Teko Joya Kunor Rembiapope” (which in the
native language, Guarani, means “Justice for the
Work of Women”), sponsored by the Sisters of Good
Shepherd for poor women in Paraguay.
· Volunteers
attend to and work with poor families having psychological,
medical, dental and social service difficulties.
· There is
also a social service center where Volunteers work with
adolescents who are dealing with personal and family problems.
· Volunteers
participate in sponsoring development through grant writing.
